Tenth Blog assignment

 To whom it may concern,

College isn't as big and scary as many of my high school teachers made it seem like while I was in high school. One thing that worried me as a high school senior was stigma that all college professors don't really care if you pass or fail. This thankfully turned out to be a lie because in my college experience, as long as you communicate with your professor and let them know of anything that is relevant to the class. They actually guide and try to help you through it. Like any good teacher they want their students to succeed. If you put the effort in, they will mirror you effort and try their best to help you in anyway. What was also told to me as a senior was how strict college professors will be about deadlines for assignments. In reality this isn't necessary true because as long as you communicate with your professors they would be more accepting towards a late assignment. Communicating with professors and going to class is  the key to succeeding college. I think our teachers lie to us about college because they hope that the fear will help us prioritize the importance of college work. It could also be that when they were in college things were handled a lot differently then how they are now a days. These lies are not helpful because they lead students to feel very stressed and scared about college.
