One of my favorite songs ever is "It's Not The Same Anymore" by Rex Orange County. This song has helped me through some rough times. Always a get a good cry going whenever I listen to it. The first few verses talk about Alex going through a rough time. The last verse is him finally accepting what happened and being able to move on. He ends the songs with "It's the not same anymore, It's better." which always pulls me out of that sad mood. Another one of Rex Orange County's songs called "Untitled" also could represent my life. It's about making mistakes and being able to come to terms with your decisions. You probably see a theme here, but another one of Rex Orange County's songs called "Television / So Far So Good" could help represent me. I make the claim because this song talks about the complications of relationships and confessing your feelings for someone you like. I've always dealt with this problem because at times I could be very indecisive and shy. The next song is an oldie but goodie named "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray. This was my Grandfather's all time favorite song when he was still with us. We played it at his funeral. Every time I listen to this song I think of him and my Dad. I just strive to have the relationship that my Dad and my Grandfather had. The next song is called "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. This song is how I envision loving someone should be like. "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey resonates with me because the song is quite literally telling me to never stop believing in my dreams. Staying motivative to strive for greatness is an important life skill. "What You Won't Do for Love" by Bobby Caldwell is another favorite of mine. I put this song whenever I go for a late night cruise mostly because the saxophone just calms me down. Bobby Caldwell's soulful voice also sooths me whenever I'm stressed out.
